5 minutes yoga from the inside

“5 minutes Yoga from the Inside” is a sharing of unique insights that I experienced in my own Yoga practice throughout the years up to now and … and which is an ongoing process,a never ending story 😉 as we go on practicing, tuning more and more in and being more aware of how we do what e do.

Sharing my Insights with you is like sharing my Yoga practice with you. To me it means a lot.

My intention is that these “little moments of enlightenment” may move you forward on your own Yoga journey as they did mine or give you something to think about.

Each Wednesday I will be releasing a new YouTube video.

Allowing change to happen as we listen to our body and the body starts trusting us.

Practicing Yoga from the Inside means for me applying the following 7 Vital Principles the best I can. I will be sharing different approaches on:

How to relax?

How to quieten your mind?

How to breathe?

How to root?

What to intent / visualize?

How to connect?

How to elongate & widen?

The simple things are often the most beautiful in Life as well as in Yoga.

Let’s meet on the mat 🙂

How to relax?

Practices which invite your mind to look at your body with a parental eye. Doing as little as possible, allowing excess to leave the body and relax. In this way you as a practitioner can experience your body stable & quiet. There is now way out of relaxing. It is vital for the basic aligning of the body in and on the way to complex poses.

How to quieten your Mind?

Practices which offer you the oportunity to distance yourself from the responsability to react to the Outer world. You observe yourself and your practice from an inner silence being able to intensify your concentration.

How to breathe?

Practices which allow you to be more aware of your Breathing. Observing your natural breath and connecting to her. Introducing principles of breathing control (Pranayama).

How to root?

Practices which allow you to feel the downward movement when the body touch the earth and the upward movement as a consequence of weight pressing down. Easy to understand, yet suprisingly dificult to execute. Many people simply push their foot or their hand into the ground when they are trying to practice rooting. It is a humble beginning but it´s better to let the body become heavy and to root in a more passive way.

What to intent/ to visualize?

Practices which allow your mind direct itself to the practice. You focus on a small initial movement that is right, and then enlarge its scope. Practices , where you visualize yourself sitting, breathing, moving is practice.

How to connect?

Practices which make you more aware of the two opposite directions that are connected to each other. To go up, go down. To go forwards, shift into the back. Wishing for the left side, steady yourself on the right among others.Trying to do as little as possible unnecessary movements in order to move the body from one place to another. We apply Stillness in movement.

How to elongate & widen?

Practices which allow you to look at the body from many angles and feel the lightness of a pose & how to move more effortless. The body reveals itself in a connected way – as one. Making as little effort as possible over a long period of time needs a lot of effort – the effort of constantly being aware.
